Taking care of our colleagues, our customers, our communities and our environment.
At Addo Food Group, we believe in doing the right thing in every area of our operation. Every day, we consider how we can improve our social and environmental impact and the way we conduct ourselves as a business. By demonstrating our commitment to Corporate Responsibility, we aim to align our business values, purpose and strategy with responsible and ethical principles in everything we do.
Addo Food Group’s approach to Corporate Responsibility is split into five key strands:
We’re on the edge of a new dawn at Addo. In the run-up to COP26 in November, we want to take the most meaningful climate action we can, and are therefore aligning our business with a net zero transition by 2035. As such, I’m delighted to announce that we’ve committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to help us achieve this.
We aim to increase colleague engagement through responsible activity. We also promote diversity, enhance career progression and train our people to be the very best they can be. Manufacturing more products than ever before, our aim to have fewer accidents, leading to less absence, together with a sustained focus on promoting Health & Wellbeing needs within our businesses.
As a responsible business we understand the health of our marketplace fundamentally benefits all of our stakeholders, both internally and externally. We operate with three key principles in mind at all times - integrity, responsibility and respect. We work closely with all our stakeholders to ensure these principles are encouraged and implemented across our own sites and those of our partners.
We aim to minimise and mitigate our environmental footprint and have adopted a number of responsible practices across our businesses. We are focused on tackling the challenge of food waste, plastic reduction and responsible sourcing of raw materials by working closely with specifically selected partners that share our values.
