Chris Peters

Group Managing Director

Chris has more than 30 years’ experience in the UK chilled food industry. He became Managing Director of Addo Food Group in 2007 and has successfully restructured the company and turned it into the profitable and innovative business that exists today. Prior to taking the helm at Addo Food Group, Chris worked for large and well-known food companies including Needlers, Northern Foods, Colman’s of Norwich, Geest and Hibernia Foods UK. Over the course of his career, he has formed strong relationships with the major high street food retailers, suppliers and relevant trade and Government bodies.

Sean Stewart

Divisional Managing Director, Tottle Bakery

Sean joined Addo Food Group  in 2008 as General Manager for the Tottle Bakery business, leading the team through a successful turnaround. After serving in the British Army for nine years, Sean joined the food industry. He has built more than 20 years’ experience in the UK chilled food sector, progressing to head of manufacturing and general manager roles. Prior to joining Addo, Sean worked in management roles for Bourne Salads and Geest, where he was responsible for development of manufacturing excellence processes within the Group. In 2007, Sean became the General Manager of Heli Foods Fresh in the Czech Republic, where he developed a ready meal business with Tesco.

Jimmy Mark

Divisional Managing Director, Palethorpes & Poole

Jimmy joined the Addo Food Group in February 2017 and is the Divisional Managing Director of Poole Bakery and Palethorpes Bakery.

Over 30 years experience in senior management in the chilled food working for Samworths, Bakkavor, RF Brooks & United Biscuits  working with all Major UK Retailers 

Jimmy’s collaborative approach has been successful in developing strong teams, turning around struggling businesses and pro-actively growing established businesses with a combination of hands on and strategic direction. 

Mark Hodson

Chief Operating Officer

Mark has 32 years’ experience in the UK chilled food industry. Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry, Mark joined Unilever on their management development scheme. With an early career in operational management, Mark moved into General Management with Geest and successfully led the growth of their chilled pizza business to be the largest in Europe. In 1996, Mark became Managing Director of Geest’s added value bakery, pasta and desserts division. In 2003, Mark was appointed Managing Director of RF Brookes, an M&S focused business within the RHM group. He became Group Strategy Officer and partner in the team leading Vision Capital Food Investments after their acquisition of a portfolio of companies from Northern Foods in 2007. In 2009, Mark switched his focus entirely to Addo Foods and brings considerable experience in strategy development, sustainable growth and leadership, alongside strong links with the UK retailers.

Kim Burgess

Head of Markets

Kim has over 20 years’ marketing experience, Kim Burgess is Head of Markets at Addo Food Group. She is responsible for the Group’s brand marketing and category/consumer insights.

Before joining Addo in May 2015, Kim worked for Bakkavor a leading international manufacturer of fresh prepared foods, where she was responsible for numerous categories.

Prior to Bakkavor, Kim promoted and launched Iconic Brands at Bernard Matthews.

Nominated to hold the position of British Turkey Chairman, of the Publicity Committee which she held for 7 years, in 2007 the BPC recognised her services to the poultry industry by awarding Kim with the prestigious award of “Poultry Industry’s Marketing Trophy”.

Deborah Bolton

Divisional Managing Director, Riverside Bakery and Shaftesbury

Deborah was appointed General Manager of the Riverside Bakery business in 2006, after more than a decade in Operations Director and General Manager-level roles within the food industry.

Deborah has over 20 years’ experience in the UK ambient and chilled food sector. After graduating in food science, she started her career on RHM’s management development scheme, progressing through a series of technical roles before moving into Operations Management with Northern Foods. Deborah has considerable experience in driving productivity improvements within businesses and in developing high performing teams. Her food science background helps her to deliver sound technical processes, innovation and consistently high quality products within the Riverside business.

Graham Rutter

Finance Director & Company Secretary

Graham joined Addo Food Group as Finance Director in 2009, and has been instrumental in developing and refocusing the business over the last four years. His background spans the retail, services and manufacturing industries. Graham started his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Newcastle and then spent six years with Argyll Stores, which at that time owned and operated the Presto, Lipton’s and Safeway retail chains. Graham was involved in the assimilation of both the Hinton’s and Safeway supermarket chains. Since then, he has worked in a number of Finance Director roles, reorganising and restructuring several quoted, venture capital and family-owned companies.

Sam Hart

Head of Group HR

Samantha has 20 years of experience and holds a MA in Human Resource Management and Chartered FCIPD status and moved into Head of Group HR role with Addo Food Group in 2008.

Prior to joining Addo Food Group, Samantha’s experience spans various sectors; Engineering, IT & Customer Services.

Samantha has considerable hands on HR experience driving and leading HR initiatives; including policy design, rationalisation & reorganisation, performance management, information systems, recruitment, training & development and benefits.

Jon Campbell

Procurement Director

Jon is an experienced Purchasing Director who has worked within the food industry for the last 20 years, gaining his significant experience with market leading businesses such as Sara Lee, Geest, Bakkavor and Domino Pizza.

Jon joined Addo in 2016 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in procurement, supply chain review and business performance improvement, driving strategic procurement planning in the UK, Europe and the USA, covering diverse markets in fresh produce, prepared foods, grocery and agriculture.

Ian Taylor

Technical Director

Graduated with degree in Biochemical Engineering Ian has over 30 years experience in the Chilled Food Industry. Working in both Production and Technical roles throughout his career across numerous food categories. 

Ian’s role at Addo Food Group covers Technical Governance, Product Quality and Innovation. A passionate believer in the application of Food Science and Technology to deliver new products innovation and invented the runny Scotch Egg concept.

Rob Hoare

Commercial Director

Rob has over 30 years experience in UK food industry with a degree in management science

Prior to joining Addo in 2017, Rob had senior positions within St Ivel, Greencore & Tulip across brand and own brand 

Rob brings extensive chilled food experience in retail, foodservice & B2B customers driving strategic long term partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions.
