Shift Manager - Dorset Foods
Type: Permanent - Full Time
Hours: 40 hours
To assume full responsibility for manufacture and packing to develop and lead the team through all aspects of GMP. To promote a positive Health & Safety culture in all areas. To ensure product integrity and safety by supporting quality management by ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality is delivered at all times.
Effectively Manage the labour resource to ensure schedule adherence.
Holidays and absence are controlled as per business agreements.
Actively reduce the waste materials within the manufacture and packing departments
Ensure quality compliance with company and customer standards through education of all team members.
Set clear targets for the manufacturing team and ensure team understand their roles and accountabilities.
Ensure daily reviews are effective.
Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to across all shifts.
Develop the next management team.
Provide direction, motivation and support through management and coaching of direct reports to meet departmental targets.
Proven experience of working within a food manufacturing industry sector (or similar)
Must have great planning and organisational skills
Exceptional experience of managing people and teams
Demonstrate leadership skills, and proven experience of managing and directing a production shift
Decision making and delegation skills required
Computer literacy skills will be required
